Hello Sandwiches!  

 

私の名前はハローサンドウィッチ。オーストラリアとリトアニアのハーフで、現在は東京に住んでいるデザイナーです。なんとも素晴らしいこの街に住み始めてほぼ10年。東京が好きすぎる私にとって、この街を自分のホームと呼べることがとてもラッキーなことなんです！

It’s Hello Sandwich here. I’m an Australian / Lithuanian designer living in Tokyo. I’ve been living in this incredible city for almost ten years now. I love Tokyo so so much and am so incredibly lucky to be able to call this my home!

東京に住み始めて以来、何冊ものクラフト＆ライフスタイル本をいろいろな言語で出版してきました。ペーパークラフトが大好きなので、私の最初のコラムはクラフトのトピックからスタートしたいなと思いました。ファッジでブログが書けるなんて、とても嬉しいです！ぜひ楽しんでくださいね。

Since living in Tokyo I’ve published numerous craft and lifestyle books in various languages. I adore paper crafts and wanted to start my column with a craft post for you. I’m so excited to be blogging for FUDGE! I hope you’ll enjoy!

 

 

新たな1年のスタートには、新しい手帳、新しい計画、新しい目標を立てたいもの。

There’s nothing better than a fresh book, a fresh plan and new intentions to start a the year.

そこで、今回は読者のみなさん自身でカスタマイズできる手帳作りのインスピレーションとなるようなアイディアをいくつかご紹介します。約束やミーティング、夕食デートの予定を書き留めるのはもちろん、どのくらい水分を摂ったかを記録したり、家計簿として使ったり、友達や家族の誕生日を忘れないため、など手帳はさまざまなことにに使えます。

Here are a few ideas to help inspire your own customised planner for 2019. You can use your planner for all sorts of things, whether it’s noting appointments / meetings / dinner dates / or even marking down your water intake, keeping tabs on your budget, or staying on top of your friends and families birthdays.

他にもかわいいライブのチケットや旅行のチケットなどの素敵な思い出の品を安全に保管するのにも使えて、それを見返すだけで楽しかった時間を思い出すことができます。

You can even use your planner as a nice space to keep cute tickets from LIVE events, or travel tickets. Lovely little memorabilia to keep safe and look back on as special reminders of your fun life.

そんな手帳作りをはじめる前に、いくつかのものが必要になってきます。

To get started, you’ll need a few things:

マスキングテープ

Assorted Washi tape

東京であれば、東急ハンズ、ラップル、ロフト、それから、包むファクトリーで購入するのがオススメです。

If you’re in Tokyo I love to buy tape from Tokyu Hands, Wrapple, LoFT or Tsutsumu Factory.

 

ステッカー

私のお気に入りのステッカーは本拠地が京都にあるAIUEO。このブランド知ってる？オー・マイ・ゴッド、とってもかわいいの！渋谷のヒカリエにお店が入っているのと、大阪と京都に支店があります。あ、それからオンラインでも購入できますよ！

My favorite stickers are by Kyoto based brand, Aiueo. Do you know this brand? OMG it’s soooo cute! They have a store in Hikarie in Shibuya, but also a branch in Osaka and Kyoto. Oh, and you can order online, too!

あらゆるクラフト活動のために、いつでもたくさんのペーパーを備えておきます。自分で作った封筒やミニカード、しおりやミニノート、あとは雨や雪の日の午後におうちでコラージュを楽しむためにも！たくさんのコレクションを集めておくと、とても便利なんです。

I love keeping a stash of assorted papers with me for all kinds of crafting activities. You can make your own envelopes, mini cards, tabs for books, mini notes, and even spend a rainy or snowy afternoon collaging! It’s always handy to have a collection on hand.

Crafting and stationery essentials

 

はじめに、手帳にレシートや小さなペーパー類を入れるための紙製のポケットを作ることからスタート。

First, Let’s start by making a little paper pocket to store any receipts or pieces of paper in your planner.

作り方はとてもシンプル。折り紙を手帳に入るサイズにカットして、３つの端をだいたい５ミリメートルくらいの幅に折って、それから下の部分の両端を斜めにカットします。

To make it, simply cut a piece of origami paper to fit the size of your planner, fold three edges at approximately 5 mm, then cut the two bottom corners on a diagonal.

 

そして、この小さなポケットをテープのりを使って手帳に貼り付ければOK。

Next, you can add this little pocket to your planner using tape nori.

かわいらしい紙で小さなタブを作ることもできます。ただ紙を半分に折って、同じくテープのりを使って手帳にくっつけるだけです。

You can also make a little tab from assorted paper (see top right). Just fold the paper tab in half and use tape nori to fasten it to your planner.

 

あとはあなた自身のチョイスで色々なリストやメモを書き留めていくだけ。アイディアはきっとこんな感じ。

Now it’s time to write any type of list or memo of your choice. Ideas could be:

ステッカーやマスキングテープを使って、アイテムやセクション分けをするのもいいと思います。

You can use stickers and masking tape to emphasise certain items and section off each list!

東京で活動するクラフトアーティスト兼デザイナー。オーストラリアの「VOGUE」に勤務し、「VOGUE Living」で副アートディレクターを務めた。現在はものづくりやアート、デザインの分野で活躍中。著書に『HELLO SANDWICHかわいく暮らす、ものづくりのアイデア帖』（BNN新社）、共著に『ラッピングアイデアブック』（朝日新聞出版）、『かわいいラッピング素材BOOK』（クラフト素材ラボ）がある。

Hello Sandwich (Ebony Bizys) is an Australian / Lithuanian artist, designer, photographer and blogger based in Tokyo.Before moving to Tokyo in 2010, Bizys worked at Vogue magazines for 11 years, most recently in the position of Deputy Art Director at Vogue Living. Since moving to Tokyo, Bizys has Art Directed books, hosted solo exhibitions, designed a Japanese fashion website, been commissioned by Vogue Japan, collaborated with Japanese masking tape brand mt, collaborated with Kate Spade and has worked with various tourism companies. The work of Hello Sandwich has appeared in many books and magazines, and she has been featured on both TV and radio. Bizys has released four books which have been translated into six languages.
